Spindler Marlen

BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES

1931   born in Kara-Kol, Issyk Kul region, Kirghizia.

Since 1941 lives in Moscow.

1947-51   studied at Mosfilm Art School.

1954-72   worked as a designer artist at the Arts and Crafts Complex. Studied at different art studios, including E. Belutin Studio.

The author of abstract compositions, scenaries, still life pieces, Spindler is a bright and gifted painter. Unique imagery of his works is fluctuating between refine abstraction in P. Klee’s style and naive tension of a child’s drawing.

Exhibits in Russia and abroad from 1958.

Marlen Spindler died on May 18, 2003, after a long illness.
