PRESENTATION OF FILMS BY OLGA STOLPOVSKAYA & VICTOR ALIMPIEV
2001

Alimpiev Victor, Stolpovskaya Olga

PREMIERE

SUBSCRIBERS
Olga Stolpovskaya, Victor Alimpiev
11', MiniDV, 2000

They were eager to fly away but they failed, they all are subscribers...
A kind of a deconstruction story about the FLIGHT dream. Deconstruction is the life style of the film heroes. They come to the Airport called "The Terminus", and never go anywhere. The dream should remain the dream. The film is in between the picture and sound. A telephone dialogue between an invalid (or a person pretending to be the one), and a woman who introduced herself as Kate – this is also about the FLIGHT.

AN IDIOT
Olga Stolpovskaya
23', DVcam, 2001

Views on the post-feministic discourse and no budget problems from the outside. The film heroin makes a life-creating video action. The shot presents the heroin's view of the world. For the first time in her life she takes a camera and begins shooting everything around - leaving home in the morning, a driver who dropped her to her work, the office of her husband, etc. The heroin can be seen from the outside as well, as if from the viewpoint of her personal angel; in this case the picture has got a special sign - "REC".
